4 - Conclusion

Some recorded instances of Community TV success in Colombia:

In Antioquia, a program "Cultural Friday" resurrects the cultural memory. It has enhanced the value of local traditions.
In Santander, the channel helps to unify separated families.
Comsat, in Santander, helps the foundation of small companies and revival of traditions.
In Bucaramanga, the channel broadcasts classes in painting, oral expression, guitar and theatre.
The channel in Pamplona transmits classes in ecology, and new technologies in communication.

This project is unique from a historical point of view.

Digital video arrived a couple of years ago and the subsequent soft- and hardware for editing by home computer became available just last year.

Community TV in the sense as proposed in the previous pages is coming into existence in Colombia and in other parts of the world.

To educate young people now has become urgent .

Edutv@yahoo.com is a pilot project, not only for Colombia, but for all those countries where community TV will appear. Because it is certain that this way of education will spread around the world.
